1335MABINI presents Arvin Nogueras in a solo exhibition entitled “A Rotten Pile of Temporary Realizations” from May 3 to June 27, 2014.

Working with metropolitan refuse infused with underground sensibilities, Arvin beckons urban objects reeking of subversive tendencies. With unreserved disregard for conventions, the artist leaves at his wake a pile of works crude and coarse, abrasive of prevalent artistic and cultural leanings. Arvin takes his cues from his background in graffiti and hip-hop, and without any misgiving turns them on their head with his material and audio manipulations. With this exhibition, Arvin brings the streets of the city and of the subconscious into the fore, letting it ferment with his idiosyncrasies to give us taste of the repulsive just underneath our noses.
